In this project, supermarket warehousing store type in Cancún, Quintana Roo, we installed the complete fire protection system.
The system included replacement of risers, as well as sprinkler protection in general offices, grocery areas, roof structures, and cold storage rooms, all designed in accordance with NFPA 13 standards. In addition, an indoor fire hydrant network with 1½” hoses and fire department siamese connections was installed following NFPA 14. A 2,000 GPM fire pump system including diesel, electric, and jockey pumps was installed in accordance with NFPA 20 and a bolted fire protection water storage tank, with a capacity of 200,000 gallons, in compliance with NFPA 22. Finally, a fire alarm and detection system was installed in accordance with NFPA 72.
The project was delivered on time, within budget, and as specified, strictly following the GANT chart for the Fire Protection specialty and in alignment with our client’s overall project schedule.
