In this project, supermarket warehousing store type in Cancún, Quintana Roo, we installed the complete fire protection system.
The system includes sprinkler protection in the sales floor, backroom, under-obstruction areas, general offices, grocery section, and cold storage rooms, as well as a pre-action system to protect the electrical substation, all designed in compliance with NFPA 13 standards. In addition, an indoor fire hydrant network with 1½” hoses and siamese fire department connections was installed in accordance with NFPA 14. Also, a 2,000 GPM fire pump system including diesel, electric, and jockey pumps was installed following NFPA 20 standards and a bolted fire protection water storage tank with a 200,000 gallon capacity in compliance with NFPA 22. Finally, a fire alarm and detection system was installed in accordance with NFPA 72.
The project was delivered on time, within budget, and as specified, strictly following the GANT chart for the Fire Protection specialty and in alignment with our client’s overall project schedule.
