In this project, a self-service warehouse facility located in Mexicali, Baja California, we installed the fire protection system.
The installed system included automatic sprinklers in the general office areas, sprinkler protection in the back-of-house grocery storage area, ESFR sprinklers at roof level, and a dry sprinkler system DS1 for cold rooms, in accordance with NFPA 13 standards. Additionally, UL/FM listed interior hose valve stations with 1 ½” hoses and fire department connections were installed in compliance with NFPA 14 standards. The scope also included the installation of a 2,000 GPM fire pump system, consisting of diesel, electric, and jockey pumps, in accordance with NFPA 20. Furthermore, a 200,000-gallon fire water storage tank was installed in accordance with NFPA 22. Finally, a fire alarm monitoring system was installed in accordance with NFPA 72 standards.
The project was successfully delivered on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with the approved specifications, strictly following the Fire Protection specialty Gantt chart and aligned with the client’s overall construction schedule.
